"Luis Garcia, He drinks Sangria.
He came from Barca, To bring us joy.
He came from Barca, To bring us joy.
He's 5 foot 7, He's football heaven.
Please don't take, Our Luis away."
Please don't take, Our Luis away."
This small man, gave us joy in many ways. His goals, his cheeky tricks and many remember him as a miracle worker. I know I do, I don't know if its the same for my cousin. But yeah, he is my favourite player in Liverpool; added my favourite number on the back too. But this post isn't to reminisce this guy. Or even the glory he brought to us, but I want to remind you Kopites. What he wrote in his Thank You letter, after he left us.
"Your unconditional support is the thing that ensures that this team manages to pull through in the most difficult circumstances; and I can assure you that the whole squad is aware of this and thanks you for it.
A football club isn't just made up of players, coaches and directors. More than anything else it's the supporters who make a club, and that perhaps is the ingredient which best distinguishes Liverpool Football Club from every other team. The supporters.
Because if one thing has remained obvious to me after these few years, it's that with supporters like you, Liverpool Football Club will never walk alone."

So that's what he said, in part of the letter. So this is again, one of those difficult times our Liverpool is going through. Let's not shy away now, I know there are fingers to be pointed at. I know frustration is just around the corner, but hey, without Liverpool. Who are we Kopites anyway? Let's just back them up, keep singing till our throats burst and hope that we reignite the fire the player's hearts. I agree with Rafael Benitez, we do have confidence problems now. Everyone is criticizing the team, even us Kopites. And they are feeling the pressure, it isn't helping if we keep shouting and shouting and screaming at them. Asking them to perform, but are we helping them gaining confidence by doing this?
I saw an on-form Torres last night, the only thing that is wrong is: he wants to do so much for us fans. Rarely have I seen him impatiently running the line, he usually watches the offside. Last night, he just wants to score so badly; and I know its to remove the ache inside his heart. The ache that the fans and the club deserves so much more than what they are giving. But I propose, give them time. It's a new team, not really new, but look at it. Torres just came back, Aquilani just started playing and Gerrard just got back too. They need match fitness, and in time I know they will gain it. C'mon Kopites!
BELIEVE!
BELIEVE!
Stop screaming, stop whining, stop complaining and stop comparing. Let's all show some love, give them peace inside their heads. As much as it hurts, doing anything with anger and frustration isn't going to solve any problems. We have to enjoy, and we have to relax. The team has to learn that as well, enjoy each game and play as if it is their final game. Have fun, smile. The only time I see our players smiling (present), is when they score; and sometimes even when we won the game. Not every player is smiling, because they keep thinking of the negatives that they did. We need to start taking in positives and start to play with the positives and not negatives. Don't bother what others say, like we are bad at this and that. Yes we are, but think about it once and ONLY ONCE. Delete it afterwards, and take the positives from the negatives.
Rafael Benitez, I know there are Kopites who despise you now and there are Kopites who love you still. I take no stand, I will stand by Liverpool and I will stand by those who will stand by Liverpool. Right now, is not to think about that. I don't care what others say, but I know there is magic in you. C'mon, light up the fire inside the hearts of OUR players. And we Kopites, promise to send that fire ablaze. Rafael Benitez, in this I trust you to do.
I double Farrah Nair's post, I totally understand how she feels. But hey, we are Kopites, don't stoop down to their levels and call names and stuff like that. And last night's game, was totally unlucky. I double Farrah Nair on that again. And how she ended her post, I double that too.
(I double two many times, LOL!)
(I double two many times, LOL!)
From Farrah Nair's Blog: Like the great Bill Shankly said “A lot of football success is in the mind. You must believe you are the best and then make sure that you are.”
And Farrah, yes you are still a RED.
as I am forever a RED.
as I am forever a RED.
amin.
