bismillah-ir rahman-ir rahim.
There are musicians out there.
Doing what they do.
To why they start these lives.
As musicians.
Some do it for fame.
Some do it to score.
Some do it for the big bucks
Some do it to take a leap in socializing.
Some do it to boast.
Some do it, to be the best in their area.
Some do it to achieve.
Some do it, because of the love of performing.
Some do it, because they love music.
Some do it, just to enjoy a smile on that strangers face.
That's what i found yesterday.
Musicians who play with their heart.
Out of sincerity.
Out of the love of music.
We spoke to them.
We meaning Me Harith and Athirah.
My cousins and I.
We spoke to them and they shared alot.
Even if it was about 10mins.
They were friendly.
And old.
Which comes with the word, experience.
Imagine playing in the public.
Where they are so many different tastes.
Of music among those who past you.
Imagine them just walk past you.
I am one who cannot face rejection.
Not in the sense of love.
Because rejection in that area is a norm i guess.
But to see people not enjoy the music i play.
Or sometimes.
Being a singer.
You might think people don't like your voice.
I can say this.
That is something we musicians are afraid of.
No matter how big our egos are.
The fact that people like the genre you're playing.
They listen to the same type of music you do.
Then suddenly when you peform.
They don't like your performance.
They move away with disheartened faces.
The singer.
Would be the one most affected.
Because voice is an instrument.
That tuning takes practice and practice.
It isn't like a guitar.
Or even a drum.
So here's the video.
(sound is bad, sorry).
Of the street buskers.
Who touched my soul.
Because they were displaying.
The heart of a muscian.
Btw, listen to them.
They play infront of Raffles City.
Just across the road of City Hall Mrt.
The large pathway beside the SMRT building.
Around the evening though.
